This is a great initiative to connect people interested in protein production and purification. I really enjoyed your talk yesterday at PepTalk.
Currently, my main focus is on membrane proteins. Since last year, I have successfully obtained and purified five membrane proteins. However, the bottleneck in my work is the analysis of membrane proteins. I am looking for ideas to identify the oligomeric state of membrane proteins. I usually use HPLC or SEC-MALS for this purpose, but I am wondering if you could recommend other techniques that might be suitable for this application.

Hi all,

I'd like to join the monthly calendar invite as well, please ([email protected]). I heard about PIG originally from Dom at PEGS and then Bill and Tim at PepTalk. Excited to finally join! I'm developing a novel protein expression host out of my PhD research in the Tullman-Ercek lab at Northwestern. We engineer the T3SS of Salmonella to fully secrete proteins and simplify protein purification and downstream processing. Imagine E. coli upstream fermentation combined with Pichia secreted protein downstream processing.

Looking forward to being part of the group as we grow and develop our technology!
